Detective Byomkesh Bakshi Movie Review By Amit Singh

Directed by: Dibakar Banerjee

Distributed by: Yash Raj Films

Starring: Sushant Singh Rajput

Language: Hindi

Genre: Crime, Suspense, Thriller & War

Introduction: Old time story writer from Kolkata, 'Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay' wrote multiple detective story & named the main character as 'Byomkesh Bakshi'. He disliked being using the word detective so he preferred the term satyanweshi, meaning seeker of truth.

Plot Summary: In 1942, during world war II, a small incident happened!!!... a man approaches Byomkesh Bakshi to search for his father who is a chemist and missing from past two month. Initially Byomkesh resist to work for him however later on he agreed. After initial investigation Byomkesh was able to concluded that the missing man is murdered and eventually he was also able to find the dead body as well. However to find who killed the boy's father and why??? the story moves on... and it finally ended up solving drug mafiya and Japanese intention to capture kolkata mystery

Analysis: With the help of excellent location setup Director, Dibakar Banerjee & team successfully able to mold the movie to look it like 1940s story. Sushant Singh Rajput looks impressive and completely justify the 'Byomkesh Bakshi' character. All other characters also play their vital role very well.
